KYAAAAAH!!! *jumps through a glass window!*I'M back! ((dramatic entrance)) It's been eons since I last updated. xanga xanga xanguhhhh... it's changed so much. A lot like facebook.. all these new added features. Why'd they have to get rid of all the simplicity!? Too much has advanced on our world wide web. In fact, too much has changed in this world. Just last Sunday during lunch as I was attempting to fraternize with the ever-so-scary blob of middle school girls at my church, my attempt was cut short as all the puerile children had their heads down enthralled by the so-called device, the nintendo DS. I wanted to play cause they were battling on Mario Kart DS, but no! I was above that! Whatever happened to the sega genesis, where we'd be so thrilled by fitting geometric shapes on top of each other (actually, that's quite popular still with our beloved TI-83s), but the point is that everything has changed so much. You gotta do so much more and pay so much more just to have the same fun as everyone else.

The only thing constant in this world is change----a very famous quote and is almost true, but there's something else that's constant; someone else and that's God! God has not transformed from an Atari to an XBOX 360! He's not like one of those geometric proofs that require much unneeded work just to arrive back at the same answer (that was my shot at how much I don't like proofs =p). Either way, God's gonna be the same no matter what changes in this world.

Lately, actually for quite a while now, I can say that I've changed... and not in a good way. That fire that ppl will talk about when they're just so passionate and burning for our God... I haven't felt that way in ages. The feeling that no one can stop me because I have Jesus! All of it's disintegraded... I've taken a downward slope like a n00b skier who accidentally got off on the expertz slopes. I just keep falling and falling and falling and I have absolutely no idea of how to get back up... BUT! This is how I see it:

1

As I continually fall, rolling down the slopes, I haven't noticed it but there's been like a power-up near by and it's always been there. That power up is God... and all I've had to do is jump for it because He is always there. Falling down that hill is obviously doing no good for me. I've just been sinning and sinning and not paying attention to the God who truly loves me. Temptations are in every direction. Just like how Pastor Francis Chan said in a sermon, it's like we're all fish in the sea and Mr. Satan is the fisherman and he just persistantly lures us with whatever bait he has and I've fallen for it too many times! Also in his sermon, he used a quote from the Bible, Jeremiah 2: 11-15, which basically said by choosing to give in to these temptations, we'd end up with nothing like broken cisterns that can't even hold water. He preached the sermon extremely well so you can check it out in his site http://www.francischan.org. Anyway, it's so easy to give in, but it's so much better not to, simply because God is better. He's reserved a whole kingdom with our names on it and what does Satan have to offer.. NOTHING! and if we keep goin down this road, it'll eventually lead to death, but no matter what do and no matter what I do, God will always love us. That's comforting to know, but also quite shocking because we really don't deserve any of it. But! The only way I'm gonna get off of this downward slope is to reach out for God's love and I think I'm finally starting to feel it more.

I thank anyone who bothers to read this entry. I know it's been long, but I guess this is for me to share with others what's been goin through my mind. Thank you all and hope you all have a great summer! =D

HEY EVERYONE! (if anyone still checks this page..) Haven't updated in ages!
So! First of all, life's been fun for the most part. I've been to a lot of outings lately... kyle's house.. charles' house.. dumpling night at church.. chinese new years party.. math competitions (which i came pretty close to placing..)..

Grades have been pretty good.. well borderline good. I've gone across the border many times and below it, but I'll get em up. No worries there.. especially with FCAT comin up this week. This week should be a breeze.

Sooo in other news, what is all this talk about Ms. Anna Nicole Smith? Who is she? It's surprising to know that so many people know who she is.. i mean it's only on the news everyday, right next to Britney Spears. My oh my... why are these people so important??? Why do they deserve TV time? What purpose have they served to america!?
NONE!
It's so sickening to hear all these "BREAKING HEADLINES! WHAT WILL ANNA NICOLE WEAR TO HER FUNERAL?"...........LIKE OMG I WOnde-----actually, who cares!? She's dead for Christ's sake. It's the cycle of life. God's taken her. Let's move on. I mean, why isn't there a headline of "WHAT WILL JAY HAVE FOR LUNCH TOMORROW? More news in just a second..." and no one better tell me to think practically. What makes her so special? She married an old dude for his money. Her son died from drugs. Why is this on the media!? Only like 95% of america is watching... this is why our generation is deteriorating. Senseless things like this plague the news, which thus, influences all the nonsensical young'uns who look up to ppl like this. I mean, get real! What about all the people who have died in Iraq??? what do they get? "56 more american soldiers have died from suicide bombings." compared to "Anna Nicole Smith has just been found out. Like oh em gee. What are wee gonna do? how will she be buried? what will she wear? Why? why? why?" (why are you such an idiot!) She's not the only one either... what is this.. Britney spears attempting battery with an umbrella with a constipated look on her face? (didn't mean to be harsh there, but that's what i thought of when i saw those pictures on the news) Dude. I only wanted to watch the news to see if it'd be cold tomorrow or not. What do i get? I get a const--- agh I won't say it anymore.
Now here's a question that i think should be surveyed everywheree to ppl of all ages: Do you know who Anna nicole Smith is?...... Now, do you know who Jesus Christ is?
hm
hmmm
hmmmmm
yeh anna nicole is yadayadayada... Geezus hu?
Yeah. That's the truth.
It's so annoying to hear things like that. Our upcoming generations are continually getting worse. It even leads me to say one of kyle's favorite lines (no, not chinese or nothing..): Kids these days. What are parents doing? Well I guess I can't blame them. Our (meaning most of us asians) parents worked hard to get to where they are, and I'm sure for most of you who aren't american, you all probably always hear stories like, "Well back den, we had to wok fooo miles too school everyday. Then, had to work with my parents eemeediately after school. It waas a haaaard life back den." (i tried my best to do a fobbish impression.) But anyway, you get the point. So I can understand that they don't want their children to live the lives that they had to go through... all the hard work.. agony.. pain.. but didn't that actually work to their benefit? Things like that build character... a trait most people nowadays lack.
Alright, this post is long enough. So I conclude by saying good luck with you all to FCAT and any other big tests and keep it real in Christ! Amen, and zhai jian! (woah it rhymed lol)

Thanksgiving Break

Alright just wanna start off by saying... We really needed this break. I'm sure everyone can say "amen!" to that. =]

So! Aside from those two days of school, this week has been terrrrrrrific! Fantastico! Excelente! On Wednesday, my parents and I drove up to Orlando to meet up with my brothers. We got to stay at a resort, and my my.... mmm what a site it was! Three bedrooms! One master queen-size bed fit for three oversized men... though I'm sure that wasn't the reason for its size. XD There was a jacouzi (did i spell that right?) and a TV set in each room. And it doesn't end there! They even included a balcony for us to go on and with this marvelous weather we've been having lately, you can only imagine how relaxing it was. Here's a grand overview of the resort:

Haven't had that great of a sleep since... ah too long to remember. And thats all we did throughout the whole vacation... heck no! lol It only gets better.

So on Wednesday, after we unloaded everything and got settled, went out for buffet (china buffet of course XD) and the food there wasn't that great. Tasted old. On a positive note, th--- eh there wasn't really anything positive about the food. So afterwards, we did some massive shopping. I alone spent over at least $40 on clothes (is that wrong for a guy?). We went to a couple outlets. My brother bought a super-nice Fossil blue watch that's really shiny. All of us bought a buttload of stuff. Our Christmas this year is gonna be like $50 and up for each present. Craziness.

So after shopping, you can guess that we were all tired so why not take a relaxing nap on a hammock?

Afterwards, later on that night, we decided to take a stroll down Downtown Disney! It was freezing that night! There wasn't too much to see there though.

And so as far as I remember (which isn't very long), we ended the night (at least me and Jorge did) by playing Resident Evil on the Gamecube.

Thursday - Turkey Day!

The most unusual, yet amazing thing happened on Thursday. So while Jorge and I were playing Super Mario Strikers on the Gamecube, my other brother, Jan calls and says to run outside to the lake area and bring the camera. And what was so unusual outside you might ask? *Looks left* *Looks right* hmm there's nothing here. No! Look up! Up in the sky! Ah its a bird! Its a plane! Its Superm----nah it is a bird. Wait a second! What's behind it!?

"TURN TO JESUS"

It was soo amazing! There was a guy in a plane writing those words. I'm happy to see people have the courage to show off our God and spread Christianity. I mean, why shouldn't we? A lot of people around us were like "Woah! What's that say? Turrrrn... tooo... je--jesus? Wow. That's pretty cool."

Then, at lunch, we had our Thanksgiving Feast. I think we all ate too much. Either that or there was something in that wine that we all drank (ick.. i don't like wine...champagne... w/e). Here's a picture of our turkey along with all the other food!

Usually we have maybe like 3 times that on Thanksgiving, but since we were away from home, we could only pack so much. Still, it had the same effect. We were all bloated afterwards.

So after that fabulous meal my lovely mother prepared (praises to my mom), my brothers and I went to go play basketball since there was a court in the resort we stayed in. In the Welcome Center, it said there was some sort of Basketball event at 4:00 pm so we went and found a couple kids playing. And of course we joined them and got 5 on 5 games going on. They were mostly kids around 10-14. It was pretty fun. Had a few trash talkers in there, but what fun would there be if there weren't any trash talkers? Especially when you're against them lol. I scraped both of my knees. One time was cause I was goin for the ball and then I landed my left foot on the ball and SCHWACK! Tripped and fell on my left hand and knee and had to go get a band aid for it. The other time was when I was going for a layup on a fast break and someone was on a crash-course with its destination directed at me. I made the layup but fell down on my right knee. Overall, we played some pretty fun games.

Meanwhile, the Bucs were losing.....as expected. So then we were planning on camping out Comp USA because of the whole Black Friday sale, but decided not to and so we ended up taking a walk through the CityWalk of Universal Studios. =D There were a lot of lights, colorful lights I might add. Here's a picture of me. My brother told me to do this so don't get the wrong impression of me.

Me and Jorge (and my dad to the right)

My brothers and I (this picture got a little blurry)

Aren't I gnarlly? eh? eh? ok maybe not. lol "ahhh someone save me!"

On Friday, we went to eat at another Chinese Buffet called Dragon Court. Now that place had muy riquissimo food! Following that, we went to a do a little more shopping (using my literary devices: litote...darn IB). We went to the Florida Outlet. There were so many people there! And to my surprise, maybe like 30% of them were asian. I never knew. And so, we came back home and that concludes my Thanksgiving week.

Now, I have to worry about a Poetry project that's gonna take an eternity. But, this comin week, I get to go to USF and compete in MathBowl! Wahoo! (for others, "You dork!") I don't care. I'm missing class, and we're goin to the Marshall Center afterwards. Plus, we get our shirts in.. the one I designed so there's gonna lots of koolaid this week.

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! Less than a month til Christmas! We're almost there! Yippee!!

Just want to say first that... my computer sucks. This causes the downfall of making long xanga entries online without saving them elsewhere.

Anyway... wow. I haven't updated in so long. Lotsa things have happened since my last update... some good and some bad... not as much good as I would've hoped for but I'll take what I can get.

School's been a drag... actually its quite the opposite. Time just keeps flying by like pages turned in a picture book except for the pages that seem to be so out of place or don't make sense. For those of you who get tired of long entries of just words, here is a visual demontration of what I mean (also done out of boredom XD):

1

2

3

4

5

6

Now with those pictures in mind, I shall now explain. Those pages (weeks) suck. I wish I could just rip them out and forget they were every there…. But now I realize: When a page is missing in a book, a part of the story is missing, and in every book, every page is important… good or bad. No matter what it is, it has some contribution to the storyline and if it’s been ripped out, how will we understand the ending? Instead of going “wth!? Grargh!!” like the dude in my pictures did, we should be thankful for events like that. We may not know why certain things happen at particular times, but we just keep moving on. Everything happens for a reason… reasons of which we do not know yet, and we’re just gonna have to trust God for that. In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, it states that we should give thanks in all circumstances (this was the passage we learned today at Sunday school).

In relation to my life, I’ve been going through a lot of troubles lately (one of which just recently occurred. I ha---strongly dislike my computer). I’ve been wanting to runaway from these problems or “rip” them out of my life, but why worry about it? I’ve got God on my side and that’s all I need! W00t! The point I’m trying to make is that things happen. Well duh anyone can figure that out, but its what comes after it that’s important. Things happen for various reasons and we just gotta thank God for them and trust that He did this to build us up stronger in Him.

Aside from that, here is an excerpt or outline of past highlights in my life:

  • PSAT’s have passed by. Yay!
  • 1st nine weeks have ended and so begins the 2nd. Yay and boo!
  • I got all A’s and 1 B. *half a yay*
  • KHS marching lions got a SUPERIOR! Wahoo!
  • The King football team’s goin to the playoffs!! YA---no. that’d be one too many good things happening… but we won 4 games so wahoo!
  • I’ve been getting more sleep lately. =D
  • I’ve been slacking in my spiritual life. =[
  • My computer sucks. L
  • English stinks. (various reasons)
  • I finished my online classes!! (thank God!)
  • I went paintballing yesterday. =D (and got pelted in the neck)
  • Thanksgiving is nearing! *3 thumbs up!* =D =D =D

And so I’ll leave it at that. Hopefully, school will get better and my spiritual life AND hopefully the pages of my life will be blown away towards the chapter of Thanksgiving break. cya everyone! Stay safe and God bless!
